ThalSaathi is a Thalassemia companion app developed by GDM Technoworld Pvt. Ltd., Fatehabad, Haryana, India. We are committed to protecting your personal information and health data. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.
1 Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide our services:
- Personal Information: Name, email address, and user ID for account creation and login.
- Health Data: Blood group, hemoglobin (Hb) readings, transfusion history, medicine doses, ferritin levels, appointments — entered by you voluntarily.
- Location: City and state only (not precise GPS location) — used for blood donor matching.
- Photos / Images: Profile photo and community images uploaded by you.
- Device Information: Device type and OS version for app diagnostics only.
- Usage Data: App interactions and crash logs via Google Firebase Analytics.
2 How We Use Your Information
- To provide ThalSaathi app features and health tracking
- To connect blood donors with patients in the same city/state
- To send appointment reminders and transfusion cycle notifications
- To allow you to export health records as PDF and share with your doctor
- To improve app performance and fix bugs
- To send OTP verification emails via Resend.com
- To display relevant advertisements via Google AdMob
3 Data Storage & Security
All your data is stored securely on Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage) using industry-standard encryption. Your health records are stored under your unique user ID and are never accessible to other users.
We use Firebase Authentication for secure login. Passwords are never stored in plain text.

4 Data Sharing
🔒 We do NOT sell your personal data to any third party.
We share data only in these limited, necessary cases:
- Firebase (Google): Backend infrastructure for data storage and authentication.
- Resend.com: Used only to send OTP verification emails. Your email is not stored by Resend beyond delivery.
- Google AdMob: Shows advertisements within the app. AdMob may collect anonymous ad interaction data per Google's privacy policy.
- Donor Listings: If you register as a blood donor, your blood group, city, and state are visible to other users searching for donors. Your name and contact details are only shared when you choose to respond.
We do not share your Hb readings, transfusion logs, medicine records, ferritin data, or any sensitive medical information with any third party.
5 Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access: View all your data within the app at any time
- Edit: Update your profile and health records anytime
- Delete: Request account and data deletion — email us or use the deletion form below
- Export: Download your health records as PDF using the in-app share feature
- Opt Out: Disable notifications anytime in device Settings

6 Children's Privacy
ThalSaathi is designed for users aged 13 and above. Parents may use the app to track their child's Thalassemia health data using the Parent Mode feature. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verified parental consent.
7 Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion request, all personal data is permanently removed from our Firebase database within 30 days.
8 Notifications
ThalSaathi sends push notifications for:
- Appointment reminders (1 hour before your appointment)
- Transfusion cycle reminders (based on your personal cycle)
- Medicine dose reminders (if set by you)
- Emergency blood requests from donors nearby
You can disable all notifications at any time in: Device Settings → Notifications → ThalSaathi
9 Third-Party Services
ThalSaathi uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google AdMob — policies.google.com/privacy
- Resend.com — resend.com/privacy
10 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the ThalSaathi app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
